Market Notes

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold mostly steady except for the 500-550 lb heifers selling with a higher undertone. Demand was moderate to good for a light supply. Slaughter cows sold 2.00-4.00 lower but demand was still good.

Supply included: 75% Feeder Cattle (54% Steers, 44% Heifers, 2% Bulls); 19% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls); 6% Replacement Cattle (49% Stock Cows, 51% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 25%.
