Market Notes

Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 2.00 to 4.00 higher with slaughter heifers 3.00 to 5.00 higher with good quality steers and heifers. Holstein slaughter steers were 2.00 to 3.00 higher with a good offering of Holstein slaughter steers this week. Cows had instances of higher/lower and no test on bulls today. Feeder calves were too few to compare today.

Supply included: 2% Feeder Cattle (50% Steers, 50% Heifers); 98% Slaughter Cattle (30% Steers, 16% Dairy Steers, 20% Heifers, 32% Cows, 1% Dairy Heifers, 1% Bullocks). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 100%.
