Market Notes
Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls traded steady. Bred cows traded 100.00-120.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate supply of slaughter animals and bred cows and a light supply of cow/calf pairs. There was a good crowd ringside as heavy rain fell across most of the service area. Demand for bred cows and bred heifers continues to increase as each week gets us closer to green grass.
Supply included: 53% Slaughter Cattle (83% Cows, 17% Bulls); 47% Replacement Cattle (22% Stock Cows, 69% Bred Cows, 6% Bred Heifers, 1% CowCalf Pairs, 2% Bulls).
