Compared to last week, slaughter cows traded 2.00-3.00 lower and slaughter bulls traded steady. Bred cows traded 50.00-75.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate to heavy supply. Bred cow movement this week was tied to hay supplies as one herd sellout was due to a short supply while several buyers with adequate supplies were looking to add to their herd before Spring.
Supply included: 57% Slaughter Cattle (86% Cows, 14% Bulls); 43% Replacement Cattle (20% Stock Cows, 69% Bred Cows, 7% Bred Heifers, 3% Cow-Calf Pairs, 1% Bulls).
