Market Notes
Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls traded 2.00-4.00 higher. Demand was good on a moderate supply of replacement cattle and a heavy supply of slaughter animals. Little or no rain, again this week, caused pasture conditions to continue to deteriorate, resulting in higher than normal receipts as producers cull herds.
Supply included: 67% Slaughter Cattle (95% Cows, 5% Bulls); 33% Replacement Cattle (57% Stock Cows, 28% Bred Cows, 15% Cow-Calf Pairs). AUCTION This Week Last Reported 6/29/2022 Last Year Total Receipts: 1,146 1,327 568 Slaughter Cattle: 770(67.2%) 874(65.9%) 374(65.8%) Replacement Cattle: 376(32.8%) 453(34.1%) 194(34.2%)
