Market Notes

Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 5.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for a moderate supply of yearlings and long weaned calves. Several loads of yearlings were on hand along with some attractive consignments of grass cattle. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 3.00 higher.

Supply included: 87% Feeder Cattle (49% Steers, 46% Heifers, 4% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Cattle (87% Cows, 13% Bulls); 3% Replacement Cattle (29% Stock Cows, 71% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 57%.
