Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 to 3.00 lower with slaughter heifers 2.00 to 3.00 lower with lower packer bids this week. No comparison on Holstein slaughter steers today. Cows were 1.00 to 3.00 lower and bulls 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Feeder steers were trending higher with feeder heifers 2.00 to 7.00 higher and feeder bulls 3.00 to 9.00 lower.
Supply included: 34% Feeder Cattle (7% Steers, 57% Heifers, 36% Bulls); 66% Slaughter Cattle (29% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 32% Heifers, 30% Cows, 8% Bulls, 1% Dairy Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 48%.
