Compared to last week slaughter steers were 4.00 higher with slaughter heifers 2.00 to 3.00 higher with a good offering of higher quality steers and heifers. Holstein slaughter steers had instances of higher/lower with good value on high quality Holstein steers. Cows had instances of higher/lower with a good offering of cows and bulls 2.00 lower today. Feeder calves were too few to compare but were trending higher.Supply included: 2% Feeder Cattle (44% Steers, 22% Dairy Steers, 33% Heifers); 98% Slaughter Cattle (40% Steers, 11% Dairy Steers, 36% Heifers, 12% Cows, 0% Bulls, 0% Bullocks). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 66%.
