Compared to last week slaughter steers and heifers were 3.00 higher with a good offering of steers and heifers and active bidding. Holstein slaughter steers were 3.00 to 5.00 higher with some higher quality Holsteins offered today. Cows were 3.00 to 14.00 higher with some high dressing breaker cows and bulls sharply higher. Feeder steers and heifers were trending higher and feeder bulls sharply higher this week.

Supply included: 14% Feeder Cattle (20% Steers, 18% Dairy Steers, 25% Heifers, 36% Bulls); 86% Slaughter Cattle (31% Steers, 14% Dairy Steers, 44% Heifers, 9% Cows, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 52%.
