Market Notes

Compared to last week, slaughter steers were 1.00 to 3.00 lower and slaughter heifers were 2.00 higher with a light offering today. Cows were significantly higher and bulls sharply lower. All classes of feeder calves were sharply higher today. All classes of cattle had light offerings due to weather ,conditions this week.

Supply included: 36% Feeder Cattle (37% Steers, 49% Heifers, 14% Bulls); 64% Slaughter Cattle (68% Steers, 19% Heifers, 5% Cows, 3% Bulls, 5% Bullocks). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 37%.
