Compared to last week, feeder steers under 600 lbs sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher; 600 to 700 lbs steady to 1.00 lower; over 700 lbs 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Feeder heifers overall sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold uneven; breaker and boner steady to 3.00 higher, lean 10.00 to 11.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 8.00 to 11.00 higher. Demand overall was good. Compared to last week, fed slaughter steers and heifers in the feedyards sold 1.00 higher at 156.00. In the hay market, demand remained good, prices remained steady, and trade activity was moderate. The market remains quiet with previously purchased hay being delivered.

Supply included: 90% Feeder Cattle (66% Steers, 34% Heifers, 0% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Cattle (97% Cows, 3% Bulls); 0% Replacement Cattle (67% Stock Cows, 29% Bred Cows, 5% Bred Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 80%.
