Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold 5.00 to 8.00 higher on limited comparable sales. Demand was very good for yearling cattle in the offering with sharp increases during the week on the CME feeder cattle index. Slaughter cows and bulls were steady to 3.00 lower.
Supply included: 98% Feeder Cattle (44% Steers, 48% Heifers, 8% Bulls); 2% Slaughter Cattle (57% Cows, 43% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 56%.
