Market Notes
Compared to last week, a light test of steers and heifers sold with a steady undertone. Demand was moderate for a light supply. Mainly small packages of calves and yearlings were offered. Slaughter cows sold 4.00-6.00 lower as more cows start making their way to town this time of year.
Supply included: 70% Feeder Cattle (51% Steers, 41% Heifers, 8% Bulls); 25% Slaughter Cattle (90% Cows, 10% Bulls); 6% Replacement Cattle (83% Bred Cows, 17% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 41%.
