Market Notes
Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to spots 5.00 higher. Demand was good for a light supply. A consignment of good quality bred cows sold following the feeder sale. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 2.00 lower on a light test.
Supply included: 77% Feeder Cattle (46% Steers, 50% Heifers, 4% Bulls); 12% Slaughter Cattle (79% Cows, 21% Bulls); 12% Replacement Cattle (10% Stock Cows, 90% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 52%.
