Compared to last week, steer calves weighing 400-500 lbs sold steady, with 500-700 lbs selling firm to 5.00 higher over 700 lbs were lightly tested. Feeder heifers weighing 400-500 lbs sold steady to firm, instances 5.00 higher, with 500-550 lbs trading firm to 5.00 higher with a large attractive offering of 550-600 lbs selling with a sharply higher undertone, 600-700 lbs sold steady to firm. Demand was good on a heavy offering with several stick-out sales of 550-600 lb heifer calves including one consignment of 187 hd all sold on a very active market. Overall a very good quality offering of feeders weighing mostly 400-600 lbs. Rain showers with varied amounts over the weekend fell along the I-70 corridor with most of the rain falling north of I-70 as south of I-70 remains dry as this is the 5th Monday in a row of 3,000 plus head receipts. Slaughter cows sold firm to 3.00 higher.

Supply included: 90% Feeder Cattle (48% Steers, 48% Heifers, 3% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Cattle (2% Steers, 97% Cows, 1% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 20%.
