Compared to last week, steer calves weighing 400-450 lbs sold steady, with 450-550 lbs trading mostly steady to instances 5.00 lower compared to last week's very active and sharply higher market, 550-600 lbs sold 5.00-10.00 higher, with a much larger offering of 6 weight steers trading with a firm to higher undertone, 7 weights were scarce, with over 800 lbs selling with a firm to higher undertone. Feeder heifers weighing 400-500 lbs sold steady to firm, with 500-600 lbs selling 3.00-8.00 higher, 6 weight heifers were lightly tested and a light test of 700-750 lbs sold with firm to higher undertone. Demand was very good on a heavy supply of feeders. Overall a very good offering of calves and yearling steers over 800 lbs the steer calves weighing 450-550 lbs did not quite reach last week's highs but still sold on a very active market with very good demand as there was still some very impressive prices on these steer and heifer calves weighing from 400-650 lbs. Slaughter cows boning and lean cows sold steady to 4.00 lower with breakers mostly steady.
Supply included: 89% Feeder Cattle (58% Steers, 39% Heifers, 3% Bulls); 11% Slaughter Cattle (5% Steers, 3% Heifers, 91% Cows, 1% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 38%.
