Compared to last week, slaughter cows were 2.00 to 4.00 higher and slaughter bulls were 10.00 to 11.00 higher on a very light test. Feeder steers and bulls were mostly 4.00 to 8.00 higher, while heifers were 3.00 to 5.00 lower on a very light test. Demand was moderate; market activity and buyer interest were moderate. Offerings of cattle were light. Cattle quality was average. Baby calves (4 head) ranged 15.00 to 25.00 per head.
Supply included: 64% Feeder Cattle (21% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 37% Heifers, 40% Bulls); 31% Slaughter Cattle (91% Cows, 9% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Cow-Calf Pairs); 3% Slaughter Goats (75% Kids, 25% Bucks/Billies). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 21%.
