Compared to last week, slaughter cattle were 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Feeder cattle were mostly 6.00 to 8.00 lower with a limited comparison the previous week. Demand was good at lower prices; market activity and buyer interest were active. Offerings of cattle were fairly light. Cattle quality was average. Baby calves (7 head) brought 5.00 per head.
Supply included: 71% Feeder Cattle (36% Steers, 1% Dairy Steers, 34% Heifers, 29% Bulls); 20% Slaughter Cattle (87% Cows, 13% Bulls); 1% Replacement Cattle (100% Cow-Calf Pairs); 9% Slaughter Goats (43% Kids, 7% Nannies/Does, 50% Bucks/Billies). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 20%.
