Market Notes

Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 600 lbs 6.00 to 10.00 higher, over 600 lbs steady to 5.00 higher. Feeder heifers under 550 lbs 8.00 to 10.00 higher, over 550 lbs 3.00 to 7.00 higher. Good to very good demand for this nice offering of high quality, long time weaned and preconditioned steers and heifers. Flesh condition light to moderate as cattle have had to endure some really harsh, severely cold weather. The market was very active now that the weather has moderated some and allowed cattle feeders to get caught up and ready to receive more cattle. Next feeder cattle sale will be next week, Jan. 19, 2023.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (50% Steers, 50% Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 49%. AUCTION This Week Last Reported 1/5/2023 Last Year Total Receipts: 3,013 3,316 5,020 Feeder Cattle: 3,013(100.0%) 3,316(100.0%) 5,020(100.0%)
