North Dakota Weekly Cattle Auction Summary

Archived Report

9/4/2021

Total Run: 1,195

Market Notes

Compared to last week: Only 1 reported auction this week, too few feeder cattle on offer to make a fair comparison. Demand remains good for yearling steers and heifers as with each passing week there are fewer of them available and cattle feeders want to get these cattle bought while they can. Lower Live Cattle futures contracts did put pressure on the market this week.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (27% Steers, 73% Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 98%.
