Compared to last week: Feeder steers steady to 5.00 higher, except 700 lbs - 750lbs 5.00 to 7.00 lower, heifers steady to 3.00 lower, except 600 lbs - 700 lbs 1.00 to 5.00 higher. Demand for this nice Thanksgiving week offering was good. 10 loads of yearling steers really got farmers and buyers on the end of their seats. Factors affecting the market today, load lots versus small packages, vaccinations given, amount the feeders had been weaned and hide color. Total inventories were down 2% at 11.454 million head according to the November Cattle on Feed report. Placements dropped 6% from last year and are at the lowest level in 20 years. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 lower. Bulls 1.00 to 2.00 lower.

Supply included: 96% Feeder Cattle (72% Steers, 28% Heifers); 4% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 64%.
