Compared to last week: best test on yearling steers 850 to 950 lbs steady to 1.00 higher. Other weight classes of yearling steers and heifers not well compared. Best test on steer calves 550 to 600 lbs 5.00 to 6.00 higher, best test on heifer calves 550 to 600 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher with other weights of steer and heifer calves not well compared. Good to very good demand for yearlings today. Most of the yearlings sold in loads and strings again this week with cattle both off grass and a few out of yards. Flesh varied, from light to moderate plus. A couple of loads and many packages made up today's calf offering which was met with moderate to good demand. Similar to last week, calf quality varied quite a bit, from plain to attractive. Most calves came off the cow in light to moderate flesh. More calves with full preconditioning included in this week's offering. An active market for both yearlings and calves. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, November 4.
