Compared to last week: Stocker and feeder steers sold 5.00 to 10.00 higher. Stocker and feeder heifers sold 4.00 to 10.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady to 4.00 higher. Slaughter bulls were mostly 5.00 higher. Supply was light with quality bringing a premium, while fleshy and plain cattle were discounted.
Supply included: 78% Feeder Cattle (34% Steers, 37% Heifers, 28% Bulls); 19% Slaughter Cattle (86% Cows, 14% Bulls); 3% Replacement Cattle (100% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 21%.
