Market Notes

Compared to last week: Stocker and feeder steers sold steady to 4.00 higher. Stocker and feeder heifers sold 7.00 to 10.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 9.00 higher. Slaughter bulls were not well tested. Supply was light with strong demand for most cattle. The majority of cattle were of better quality than last week.

Supply included: 80% Feeder Cattle (27% Steers, 44% Heifers, 28% Bulls); 10% Slaughter Cattle (96% Cows, 4% Bulls); 10% Replacement Cattle (100% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 12%.
