Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 500 lbs. 8.00-15.00 instances 20.00 higher; over 500 lbs. 2.00-9.00 lower. Feeder heifers unevenly steady. Slaugher cows 1.00-3.00 higher. Slaughter bulls steady. Quality was average. Sold 2 loads of preconditioned cattle on video at a premium. Buyers were very active on the lighter cattle.
Supply included: 87% Feeder Cattle (52% Steers, 43% Heifers, 5% Bulls); 11% Slaughter Cattle (85% Cows, 15% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (93% Bred Cows, 7% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 49%.
