Compared to last week: Feeder steers under 700 lbs. 5.00-15.00 lower; over 700 lbs. 5.00-7.00 higher. Feeder heifers 3.00-12.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady. Slaughter bulls steady. Quality was average. Most all classes were cheaper. Fleshy new crop calves made up majority of offering. Dry conditions have dampened spirits of light cattle buyers. Supply included: 81% Feeder Cattle (47% Steers, 44% Heifers, 8% Bulls); 17% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls); 2% Replacement Cattle (25% Stock Cows, 67% Bred Cows, 8% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 35%.
