Compared to last week: Stocker steers under 500 lb sold 4.00 to 10.00 higher, Feeders steers over 500 lb sold 6.00 to 10.00 higher. Stocker heifers under 500 lb sold 4.00 to8.00 higher, Feeder heifers over 500 lb sold 6.00 to 10.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 5.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold steady to 3.00 higher. Supply was moderate with strong buyer demand for the better kind with plain cattle discounted.
Supply included: 77% Feeder Cattle (51% Steers, 38% Heifers, 11% Bulls); 15% Slaughter Cattle (65% Cows, 35% Bulls); 8% Replacement Cattle (15% Stock Cows, 48% Bred Cows, 38% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 9%.
