Compared to last week: Feeder steers and bulls under 450 lb sold 2.00 to 6.00 lower, over 450 lb were steady to 4.00 lower. Feeder heifers under 450 lb sold 4.00 to 9.00 lower, over 450 lb were 3.00 to 8.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold steady to 3.00 lower. Slaughter bulls were mostly steady. Supply was heavy with pre-vac weaned cattle selling at a premium.
Supply included: 78% Feeder Cattle (47% Steers, 45% Heifers, 8% Bulls); 15% Slaughter Cattle (55% Cows, 45% Bulls); 7% Replacement Cattle (3% Stock Cows, 55% Bred Cows, 4% Bred Heifers, 38% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 21%.
