Compared to last week: Stocker and feeder steers sold steady to 4.00 lower. Stocker and feeder heifers sold steady to 4.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold mostly steady. Slaughter bulls were 3.00 to 4.00 lower. Supply was moderate with good demand for the quality. Several fleshy new crop calves that were discounted.
Supply included: 83% Feeder Cattle (45% Steers, 41% Heifers, 14% Bulls); 12% Slaughter Cattle (65% Cows, 35% Bulls); 5% Replacement Cattle (6% Stock Cows, 39% Bred Cows, 3% Bred Heifers, 52% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 10%.
