Compared to last week: Stocker steers under 500 lb sold 3.00 to 10.00 lower, Feeder steers over 500 lb sold 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Stocker heifers under 500 lb sold 3.00 to 5.00 lower. Feeder heifers over 500 lb sold steady to 3.00 lower. Slaughter cows sold 3.00 to 8.00 lower. Slaughter bulls sold mostly steady. Supply was moderate. October market is here with fleshy and plain cattle carrying a heavy discount while weaned cattle sold at a premium.

Supply included: 78% Feeder Cattle (30% Steers, 45% Heifers, 24% Bulls); 16% Slaughter Cattle (77% Cows, 23% Bulls); 6% Replacement Cattle (48% Stock Cows, 30% Bred Cows, 2% Bred Heifers, 20% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 21%.
