Compared to last week steers sold 1.00 to 4.00 higher. Heifers sold sold 4.00 to 7.00 higher. Demand was good to very good for all classes of cattle. Wide range of flesh condition scores across the weekly sales. Several top quality, officially calfhood vaccinated (OCV) heifers going back to the country for replacements was noted on this weeks report. Packers paid more for feedlot show list, as dressed sales were 2.00 higher at 224.00 and live sales went steady to 2.00 higher at 140.00.
Supply included: 91% Feeder Cattle (50% Steers, 50% Heifers, 0% Bulls); 5% Slaughter Cattle (100% Cows); 4% Replacement Cattle (56% Bred Cows, 43% Bred Heifers, 2% Heifer Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 75%.
