Compared to last week steers sold steady to 3.00 lower with the most decline on fly-weights. Heifers under 700 lbs sold mostly steady over 700 to 900 lbs 1.00 higher. Demand was mostly good for calves and feeders with moderate to good demand for bred cattle. Cold, dry weather wind continued most of the week. With just a tick of snow in some areas last Friday. We all know that the winter is the best time for a drought! Lets hope that mother nature will give us some ample moisture come spring. Nebraska negotiated cash feedlot live sales sold steady to 1.00 higher from 137.00 to 138.00 and dressed sales steady at 218.00.

Supply included: 89% Feeder Cattle (58% Steers, 42% Heifers, 0% Bulls); 3% Slaughter Cattle (100% Cows); 8% Replacement Cattle (48% Bred Cows, 50% Bred Heifers, 1% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 69%.
