Compared to last week steers and heifers under 600 lbs sold 2.00 to 4.00 higher. Steers over 600 lbs sold 4.00 to 6.00 lower and heifers over 600 sold unevenly steady. Demand was moderate to good for calves and feeder cattle with very good demand noted for replacement heifers that will be bred and calve next year. Receipts were shorten this week as Arctic temperatures came into the state with some auctions cancelling their sales and other auctions had reduced receipts.

Supply included: 97% Feeder Cattle (52% Steers, 48% Heifers, 0% Bulls); 2% Slaughter Cattle (100% Cows); 0% Replacement Cattle (100% Bred Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 74%.
