Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers under 500 lbs were mostly 3.00-4.00 higher with very good demand. Feeder steers and heifers over 500 lbs were mostly steady to 3.00 lower with mostly moderate demand. Buyers continue to show the most interest in weaned (45+ days) and preconditioned feeder cattle to limit illness as much as possible. Slaughter cows and bulls were mostly steady to 2.00 higher with moderate to good demand.

Supply included: 78% Feeder Cattle (29% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 51% Heifers, 20% Bulls); 14% Slaughter Cattle (86% Cows, 14% Bulls); 8% Replacement Cattle (87% Bred Cows, 8% Bred Heifers, 6% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 32%.
