Compared to last week, feeder steers were mostly 4.00-8.00 higher and feeder heifers were mostly 3.00-6.00 higher with very good demand noted for all feeder classes. Buyers are showing the highest interest in long-weaned (45+ days), preconditioned feeder cattle with moderate to thin flesh, ideal for grazing season. Slaughter cows were mostly steady to 3.00 higher, and slaughter bulls mostly steady to 2.00 higher.

Supply included: 75% Feeder Cattle (29% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 46% Heifers, 25% Bulls); 17% Slaughter Cattle (0% Steers, 85% Cows, 15% Bulls); 8% Replacement Cattle (1% Stock Cows, 55% Bred Cows, 14% Bred Heifers, 28% Cow-Calf Pairs, 1% Heifer Pairs, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 23%.
