Compared to last week, slaughter steers and heifers were 3.00 to 4.00 higher with active bidding on higher quality steers and heifers this week. Holstein slaughter steers were 3.00 to 4.00 lower. Cows were 12.00 to 13.00 higher and bulls were 4.00 to 6.00 higher with active buyer participation today. All classes of feeder calves were sharply higher with lost of buyer interest today.

Supply included: 39% Feeder Cattle (5% Steers, 52% Heifers, 30% Bulls, 13% Dairy Heifers); 61% Slaughter Cattle (35% Steers, 6% Dairy Steers, 30% Heifers, 18% Cows, 9% Bulls, 1% Dairy Heifers, 1% Bullocks). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 17%.
