Market Notes

Compared to last week's light test: Not enough comparable sales of steers or heifers for a market trend; however, a much lower undertone was noted on calves. Trade activity and demand were moderate. Rain in the area brought cooler temperatures, and caused a wide price gap between weaned and non-weaned. Slaughter cows were steady to 2.00 lower.

Supply included: 96% Feeder Cattle (68% Steers, 21% Heifers, 11% Bulls); 4% Slaughter Cattle (69% Cows, 31% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 55%.
