Market Notes

Compared to last week: Not enough comparable sales of feeder cattle for a market trend. Trade activity and demand were moderate to good. Fall is in the air with cooler temperatures in the mornings. Calves that are weaned and vaccinated are heavily sought after to turn out on winter wheat pastures. Slaughter cows were 3.00 to 5.00 lower.

Supply included: 98% Feeder Cattle (40% Steers, 52% Heifers, 7% Bulls); 2% Slaughter Cattle (100% Cows). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 66%.
