Market Notes

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers sold 3.00 to 7.00 lower. Trade was active on moderate demand. Yearling demand was down after a bearish Cattle on Feed report released last Friday. A lot of light weight calves coming off drought stricken pastures still in the offerings. Slaughter cows and bulls were weak to 2.00 lower.

Supply included: 96% Feeder Cattle (63% Steers, 35% Heifers, 2% Bulls); 4% Slaughter Cattle (84% Cows, 16% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 80%.
