Compared to last week, steers and heifers sold steady to 10.00 lower with lower quality in the offering and a lot of unweaned calves selling at a discount because it's October. Slaughter cows sold 5.00 lower and bulls sold 2.00 lower; Demand lower and supply moderate.
Supply included: 89% Feeder Cattle (50% Steers, 43% Heifers, 7% Bulls); 0% Slaughter Cattle (85% Cows, 15% Bulls); 11% Replacement Cattle (75% Bred Cows, 25% Cow-Calf Pairs). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 26%.
