Compared to last week, slaughter cows and bulls traded mostly 2.00 to 4.00 lower. Supply of slaughter cattle was moderate and heavy for replacements with a couple full herd dispersals in the offering. Lack of rain, low pond levels and the fast approaching winter continue to push slaughter and replacement consignments to town. Demand was moderate.
Supply included: 76% Slaughter Cattle (92% Cows, 8% Bulls); 24% Replacement Cattle (27% Stock Cows, 62% Bred Cows, 12% Bred Heifers).
