Market Notes

Compared to last week, the best test of 500lb - 700lb feeder steers and heifers traded 5.00 - 10.00 lower. Other weights too light in supply for an adequate comparison. The highlight of the offering was a fancy set of weaned 626lb steers bringing $193.00. Many producers in the area being in the hay field this week led to a light supply with mostly below average quality feeder cattle in the offering. Demand was moderate.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (46% Steers, 2% Dairy Steers, 41% Heifers, 11% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 47%. AUCTION This Week Last Reported 6/8/2022 Last Year Total Receipts: 1,021 2,280 1,516 Feeder Cattle: 1,021(100.0%) 2,280(100.0%) 1,516(100.0%)
