Compared to the last reported auction three weeks ago, feeder steers steady to 2.00 higher. Feeder heifers 3.00-6.00 higher. Slaughter cows 6.000-7.00 higher. Demand good. Supply moderate. Nice quality feeder offering to start the year. Feeder futures were higher Wednesday with corn retreating by around 15 cents.
Supply included: 93% Feeder Cattle (64% Steers, 36% Heifers); 7% Slaughter Cattle (84% Cows, 16% Bulls); 0% Replacement Cattle (100% Bred Heifers). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 45%.
