Compared to last week, slaughter cows were 2.00-4.00 higher and slaughter bulls were steady to 2.00 higher. Bred cows were 50.00 higher and pairs were steady. Demand was good on a moderate supply of replacement cattle and a heavy supply of slaughter cows. Dry conditions and poor hay yields continue to be a concern as an Excessive Heat Warning has been issued for the remainder of the week.
Supply included: 55% Slaughter Cattle (93% Cows, 7% Bulls); 45% Replacement Cattle (36% Stock Cows, 30% Bred Cows, 4% Bred Heifers, 30% Cow-Calf Pairs).
