Market Notes
Compared to last week, slaughter cows traded 1.00-2.00 lower while slaughter bulls traded steady. Demand was good on a moderate supply. With grass growing faster than it did this Spring, the demand for bred cows and pairs was the best it has been for several months with bred cows $100-$200 higher and pairs $300-$400 higher. There was a good selection of replacement cattle on hand and the take home buyers competed very well against the slaughter buyers with many animals finding a new home.
