Market Notes
Compared to last week, slaughter cows and slaughter bulls traded steady. Demand was good on a heavy supply of slaughter animals and a moderate supply of replacement cattle. There were a couple of small herd sellouts in the offering with bred cows and a few pairs having no problem finding a new home. Slaughter animals continue to be in good demand with this week's offering, average at best, with the exception of a few high dressing breaking cows and bulls.
Supply included: 68% Slaughter Cattle (90% Cows, 10% Bulls); 32% Replacement Cattle (27% Stock Cows, 52% Bred Cows, 2% Bred Heifers, 16% Cow-Calf Pairs, 3% Bulls).
