Compared to last week's light run, steer calves traded 4.00-8.00 higher with spots 12.00 higher. Heifer calves traded steady to 5.00 higher. Demand was very good on peewee and stocker calves and moderate on feeders and yearlings. The USDA's Cattle on Feed report released last week reported Inventories and Placements were down 1 percent from a year ago and Marketings were down 3 percent. Spring has arrived in the Ozarks, at least for this week, with highs in the 70's, daffodils blooming and pastures starting to show a tinge of green.
