Market Notes

Compared to last week steer and heifer calves traded 3.00-9.00 higher with spots 12.00 higher. Yearling steers and heifers traded 3.00-7.00 higher with spots 10.00 higher. Demand was good on a heavy supply including several multi pot-load drafts of yearlings. A good crowd was on hand as cooler temperatures and lower humidity made moving cattle much more comfortable for both man and beast. Encouraged by the higher cattle boards the market was active through most of the day but moderated in the evening as buyers filled their orders from the heavier than normal offering.

Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (54% Steers, 0% Dairy Steers, 43% Heifers, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 60%. AUCTION This Week Last Reported 6/15/2021 Last Year Total Receipts: 5,009 2,682 3,678 Feeder Cattle: 5,009(100.0%) 2,682(100.0%) 3,678(100.0%)
