Market Notes

Compared to last week, feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher. Last Friday's bearish Cattle on Feed report and an overall down week for cattle futures put a little pressure on the local cash feeder market. Supply and demand moderate.

Supply included: 83% Feeder Cattle (49% Steers, 51% Heifers); 17% Slaughter Cattle (98% Cows, 2% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 49%.
