Market Notes

Compared to last week, a much lighter offering feeders sold steady to 4.00 lower, except for a few quality consignments of six weight heifers with good weight ups which sold firm to sharply higher. The supply of feeders was light to moderate and made up of mostly five and six weight cattle, with very few cattle over 700 lbs. compared to the previous auction. Demand was moderate. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 higher.

Supply included: 84% Feeder Cattle (37% Steers, 58% Heifers, 5% Bulls); 16% Slaughter Cattle (92% Cows, 8% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 39%.
