Market Notes

Compared to last week, a light test of 4 weight steer calves sold mostly steady, with 500-600 lb steers selling steady to 5.00 lower, 600-650 lbs on comparable weights on a light test sold steady and over 650 lbs were not well tested but a pot load of fancy black steers weighing 653 lbs sold with very good demand on a higher undertone and pot load of mostly crossbred steers weighing 907 lbs sold with a firm undertone. Feeder heifers overall were very lightly tested with the 400-500 lb heifer calves on a light test selling steady to spots 4.00 higher. Slaughter cows sold steady with last week.

Supply included: 83% Feeder Cattle (71% Steers, 26% Heifers, 3% Bulls); 17% Slaughter Cattle (88% Cows, 12% Bulls). Feeder cattle supply over 600 lbs was 43%.
